Overview
Journalism & Published Work
Over the course of my career, I’ve been a writer and editor across several different publications and blogs including Your Soulcialmate, Lucky Archives, Poptized Magazine, Jabberwocky Literary Journal, Odyssey Online, The Massachusetts Daily Collegian, and The Regional. This portfolio includes creative writing pieces, editorial articles, reviews, interviews, and research articles covering a range of topics with foci on art, culture, and lifestyle.
Portrait Photography
My goal when I taking portraits is always to make my clients feel comfortable and confident. My style focuses on lighting and warmth to create a natural glow.
Live Event Photography
Whether I’m photographing a concert, an educational program, or some other event, my goal is always to capture the emotion and energy of the event.
Dance Photography
I’ve always loved dance, so much so that I was a dancer myself for 15 years! But when I eventually stopped dancing and picked up a camera I found that taking photos of movement is a special way to capture the feelings of dancer in the moment. Here is a selection of images taken of many dance groups across the UMass Amherst community.
Camp Sewataro
My years working at Sewataro hold some of my most fond memories. Not only did I find community and friendships of my own, but I was able to witness and capture hundreds of kiddos doing the same. This is where I learned how to spot special moments. It really is a magical place. These are some of my photos that I was able to access.
Architecture Photography
I’m the kind of photographer who is looking for the story in every still image. Because of this, I focus my architectural images on buildings and scenes that can tell a story on their own. In the case, I usually feel that the older a structure is, the better. Ireland was one of my favorite travel experiences for this exact reason!
